The summer of 2008 will be remembered by the class of SFG Bible School students who attended. Not only will they remember those wonderful two months of spiritual growth, but they will also cherish the precious time they got to dedicate themselves fully to God. It was memorable, it was amazing, but most of all it was a time that each individual found that personal relationship with God that every one of us longs to obtain in our lives. My story starts in the summer of 2007. One of my friends from church went to Bible School in Columbus, and came back with many stories to tell of how God works in young lives through this School. Her stories stirred up a desire in my heart to go to Bible School the following year and learn more about God’s word, and more about God himself, which I knew would in turn strengthen my spiritual being. I couldn’t have been more correct in my predictions, because not only did the two months of study let me learn more about God’s Word, it also helped me obtain friendships that will last for a lifetime! At first it was hard, sitting through lectures and focusing on watching videos right after lunch, but then as I learned more about the Word of God, I wanted to know more! I saw myself in a different light as God gently but firmly showed me what changes needed to be made in my life. God also showed me that forgiveness is a big task to learn, but that we should do it wholeheartedly because he forgives us for everything we ever do. I could write pages and pages of the many different things God taught me during those two months, but why don’t you go yourself and find out?!
