The purpose of our school is to help people deepen their knowledge of God, His Word, and His plan for us

Nina Nikitenko, SFG School 2008 Testimony

This past summer I went to SFG Bible School in Kentucky. Before I went I had some doubts about it, thinking that I was going to waste my money and my whole summer. As soon as it started, I realized that it definitely wasn’t a waste of anything at all. It was the most blessed two months of my life and pretty much the best experience ever! We learned so much everyday from the different teachers in different subjects like: The Holy Spirit, Sin, Christian Ethics, Homiletics, Music, Fundamental Truths of Christian Life, Salvation, and Romans/Galatians. They were the kind of subjects that preachers usually don’t get in-depth or preach about at all in church, but we did and it was great. We learned how to preach, give testimonies, translate, and accept critique from people about it. After practicing during class, we participated in different churches that we went to. We traveled to different states all the time, almost every weekend, and when we didn’t go anywhere we had car washes, which were a lot of fun. Even my Ukrainian got better, which is a good thing. But probably one of the main things I got from Bible School is that I began to love studying the Bible and getting more into it. There is so much more to it than just reading it once and thinking that we understand. Also, I grew so much more spiritually. On top of all that, we made a lot of awesome Christian friends. We all became like one big family, and not just the Bible School class, but we also became friends with the youth from the church that we were in. Bible School is probably one of the best experiences you can have that will help you to be a better servant of God, especially while you’re still young and have an opportunity to go. It’s not a waste of time or money because your spiritual life is so much more important than money and all the fun you think you can have during the summer. I did not regret going for a single moment. The only thing I wasn’t happy about was when it was all over and it was time to go home. So it all is definitely worth it! GOD BLESS!
