Growth. In Webster’s dictionary, the word means…. “Springing up and developing in maturity,” but in the hearts of us students in SFG Bible School, the word means so much more. I have the privilege to say that I am one of us and I am the first to say that this is the best place to go to grow in your spiritual life. Brought from different places in the US, and tied together with our love for Christ and thirst for knowledge, we are already one big happy family. Every day, we are together and everyday it gets harder and harder to leave each other. Surround ourselves with people who want growth just as much as us and at the end of the day, we notice small slow new changes. Not only are we listening but we are also learning and interacting. From debating important life issues to belting out songs, everything we do is a opportunity to learn. Our growth is not just limited to the four walls or the classroom either; our family goes out and does what Christ tells us and preach the gospel to ones who need it most, we reach out to lost souls that Christ wants to be His. We go to homeless shelters, and we go to abortion clinics. Then we go to other states, cities and towns where we know people and where fellow Christians are ready to see what we’ve learned. We preach, sing, say verses, give our testimonies and just wow the crowd. We came to learn and we are. The administration watches out for us, and saves us from insanity. Our teachers “feed” us food in our spiritual flesh, our cook feeds us real food, and we all work together to grow “bigger and stronger” in our lives. In Webster’s dictionary growth means…” springing up and developing in maturity”, but in the hearts of SFG Bible School students, the word means so much more.
